Four-piece cheer punk band Ni-hao!!!! will tour Europe later this month, in July. The European tour will kick off at Valkhof Festival in Nijmegen and consist of 12 shows in six countries.<\/p>\n
Consisting of Red Ariko, Blue Yukari, Yellow Miwako, and Purple Kaori, the Kyoto-based band has been active for over twenty-five years. The band’s music is described as a combination of punk, techno-pop, hip-hop and even speedcore, which gives a good indication of why they call themselves a cheer punk band. They have worked with avant-garde composer John Zorn on their first two albums, which were released on his label. With a collection of a handful of albums, but also mini-albums, cassettes, vinyls and digital singles, they have produced an extensive discography. One of their tracks, Matsuri-Shake<\/em>, was chosen as the intro music for Rosal\u00eda’s world tour in 2022, but also for one of Prada’s fashion shows in 2024.<\/p>\n
