The experimental progressive rock band were already on tour on the European continent in January and February of this year, but hinted back then that they were planning to return in the summer. The trio has another extensive tour lined up, with various festival appearances, including Fusion Festival, Sonic Ride Festival, Boskovice Festival, Sajeta Art&Music Festival, Valkhof Festival and more. In total, the Japanese three-piece band has 35 shows scheduled across 12 countries.

Green Milk from the Planet Orange are a band from Tokyo that got formed after the disbanding of psychedelic stoner grind band No Rest for the Dead. Two musicians from that band, A and Dead K decided that they were ready to start something new, leading to the creation of Green Milk from the Planet Orange in 2001. There have been several changes in the band line-up in regards to bass players, even Margarette Hiroi (now active in 88Kasyo Junrei) was a bass player for a short while. After a hiatus from 2008 to 2016, Green Milk from the Planet Orange returned with the current line-up of A on drums, Dead K on guitar and Damo on bass. The music they create with this band is described as a mixture of progressive rock, psychedelic rock, and punk genres.

They released their third album, titled appropriately Third, in 2019. In 2023, the band announced that they had remastered their second album CITY CALLS REVOLUTION, released in 2005 and it is now available as a digital release on Bandcamp, after the album had been out of print for years. In 2024, the band released a split EP with American psychedelic punk band FUCKWOLF, titled LET’S SPLIT (裂けても), to celebrate the fact that the San Francisco-based band would be touring Japan in March and April that same year, which was organised by the band members of Green Milk From The Planet Orange. This release appeared on vinyl this year and remarkably contains only one track from Green Milk From The Planet Orange, while FUCKWOLF is represented with six tracks. However, the track from Green Milk From The Planet Orange is a live recording of over 19 minutes. During their most recent European tour, they sold a single entitled Tragedy Overground, which was reviewed last year.

GMFTPO 2026 Summer European Tour Dates

Wednesday 24 June, 2026: Fusion Festival – Lärz, Germany
Thursday 25 June, 2026: Fusion Festival – Lärz, Germany
Friday 26 June, 2026: Supamolly – Berlin, Germany
Saturday 27 June, 2026: SOL Sonic Ride Festival – Wiesbaden, Germany
Sunday 28 June, 2026: Rock in Bourlon Festival – Bourlon, France
Monday 29 June, 2026: La Binchoise – Binche, Belgium
Tuesday 30 June, 2026: Le Chinois – Paris, France
Thursday 2 July, 2026: Clan Destino – Faenza, Italy
Friday 3 July, 2026: Psycho Hill Festival – Arezzo, Italy
Monday 6 July, 2026: Black Flag – Seignosese, France
Tuesday 7 July, 2026: Uzine – Rennes, France
Thursday 9 July, 2026: Altes Spital – Viechtach, Germany
Friday 10 July, 2026: Boskovice Festival – Boskovice, Czechia
Saturday 11 July, 2026: DC Rojc Open Air – Pula, Croatia
Monday 13 July, 2026: KC Grad – Belgrade, Serbia
Tuesday 14 July, 2026: Gala Hala – Ljubljana, Slovenia
Thursday 16 July, 2026: Fiesta Global – Montefabbri, Italy
Saturday 18 July, 2026: Sajeta Art&Music Festival – Tolmin, Slovenia
Sunday 19 July, 2026: MKNŽ – Ilirska Bistrica, Slovenia
Tuesday 21 July, 2026: MS Stubnitz – Hamburg, Germany
Wednesday 22 July, 2026: Valkhof Festival – Nijmegen, Netherlands
Thursday 23 July, 2026: The Black Heart – London, United Kingdom
Friday 24 July, 2026: Cavern – Exeter, United Kingdom
Saturday 25 July, 2026: The Rat & Pigeon – Manchester, United Kingdom
Sunday 26 July, 2026: Fuel Rock Club – Cardiff, United Kingdom
Monday 27 July, 2026: Daltons – Brighton, United Kingdom
Tuesday 28 July, 2026: Kult41 – Bonn, Germany
Thursday 30 July, 2026: Herzberg Festival – Fulda, Germany
Friday 31 July, 2026: Blue Moon Festival, Cottbus, Germany
Saturday 1 August, 2026: Krach am Back Fetival – Beelen, Germany
Sunday 2 August, 2026: Celebration Days Festival – Cernoy, France
Monday 3 August, 2026: Le Chaland Qui Passe – Binic, France
Wednesday 5 August, 2026: Baroeg – Rotterdam, Netherlands
Thursday 6 August, 2026: Nordstadtbraut – Hannover, Germany
Saturday 8 August, 2026: Dimman Musikfest – Öland, Sweden

At the end of this month, the band Green Milk From The Planet Orange will return to Europe for a summer tour.
