The band will first play a number of shows in Australia in May, followed by a European tour in June. They will conclude the tour with a run of shows in their home country, Japan. The rest of Asia or the Americas are not currently on the schedule, but the four-piece band was on tour in Asia as recently as last October.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>A few more European concerts have been announced this week, in addition to the seven concerts announced back in March, bringing the total to ten. The European tour includes several shows in the United Kingdom, followed by concerts in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden.<\/p>\n<p>The singer-songwriter draws inspiration from Japanese music acts such as the punk rock band INU (active in the late 1970s and early 1980s), or more notably the singer, writer, poet and actor Machida Ko, the folk rock band HAPPY END (active in the 1970s) and the rock band Spitz (still active, from the 1980s). Since the release of her acoustic solo debut in 2016, she has released music both as a solo artist and with a band, enabling her to perform on large stages (such as the iconic Budokan) as well as in intimate venues.
