This month they will return to the UK for more shows, followed by a short three-day tour in Norway. In total, the garage rock trio has 11 performances scheduled, starting on 17 October in Leeds, where they will be joined by garage punk band The Voo-Dooms for the entire UK leg of the tour.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"&#039;I Walk Like Jayne Mansfield&#039; THE 5.6.7.8s (The Boileroom, Guildford) BOPFLIX sessions\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4ncsA8I94EQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>With the band sound described as trashy, sci-fi voodoo caveman garage punk sound, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ZOMBIEDOOM67\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Voo-Dooms<\/a> consist of garage punk veterans such as Bruce Brand (The Pop Rivets, The Milkshakes, Thee Headcoats, The Masonics), Dan Whaley (The Dustaphonics, The Charles Napiers, The Diaboliks), Mark Braby (Vic Goddard &amp; Subway Sect, The Charles Napiers) and Mick Cocksedge (The Untamed, Cordwood Draggers and The Dead Bone Ramblers). On 31 October, they will release the 7-inch EP <em>Doom With A Voo<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In Norway, The 5.6.7.8&#8217;s will be joined on the first two days by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/cavebones\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Cavebones<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/launderettes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Launderettes<\/a>, and on the last day by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ilovetheyumyums\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Yum Yums<\/a>. All bands are from Norway and have been entertaining audiences for years with their own spin on rockabilly and (raw) garage punk. The men of The Cavebones have been active for four decades and are known for their spectacular live shows, where music lovers can expect polyester fur, bones, cobwebs or even jelly. The Launderettes have also been active for quite a long time, namely since the late 1990s. Just last year, they were in Japan for a gig, but after a while of inactivity, the upcoming shows look to be their live comeback. The Yum Yums will soon embark on a tour of Spain. They released their sixth full-length album, <em>Poppin\u2019 Up Again<\/em>, last summer.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The 5.6.7.8&#039;s - BIRD DANCE BEAT\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JvMChRF3J3w?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Active since 1986 and influenced by multiple genres of American music, including rock and roll and rockabilly, the trio has made quite a name. The 5.6.7.8\u2019s appeared in the 2003 Quentin Tarantino film<em> Kill Bill<\/em> which was evidently their big introduction to the audience in the west. In addition, their music has also been used in other films, games and other soundtracks. Despite changing line-ups several times in their career, initially as a quartet but since 1992 as a trio, the garage rock band is still going strong, touring in Japan and abroad such as China, Australia, the United States, as well as Europe.
