At 17, she was invited by Chick Corea to perform with him at a concert in Tokyo; the two later collaborated on the album <em>Duet<\/em>. In 1999, Hiromi entered the Berklee College of Music in Boston, during this study, she was signed to the prestigious jazz label Telarc and made her international debut in 2003 with the album <em>Another Mind<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>If you watched the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics, in 2021, you surely noticed Hiromi Uehara&#8217;s performance. The music Hiromi produces blends various genres, including classical, rock, fusion, funk, and post-bop with jazz creating a unique and energetic style. In October of 2023, Hiromi released her twelfth studio album <em>Sonicwonderland<\/em>, showcasing her skills on the analogue synthesizer and electric piano, in addition to the piano.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Hiromi: Tiny Desk Concert\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pnISpahN2dM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>In September, NPR Music published a new video of Tiny Desk Concerts featuring performance of Hiromi and her band playing two songs, <em>Sonicwonderland<\/em> and <em>Wanted<\/em>.
