Being a musician for over 50 years, he has been called the sound wizard and even a Japanese noise master. Always exploring noise experimentation, avant-garde rock, free improvisation and DJing, Haino has collaborated with an impressive list of artists as well as formed several groups: such as Fushitsusha, Vajra, Knead and Sanhedolin.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Inspired by Antonin Artaud&#8217;s theatre, he initially pursued a theatrical path but was drawn into music after encountering The Doors. Since then, he has explored and absorbed a diverse array of musical influences. Throughout his career, recognisable by his long hair, sunglasses and black clothes, he has showcased his virtuosity on guitar, percussion, hurdy-gurdy, various wind and string instruments, as well as local instruments from diverse cultural backgrounds.
