Earlier this year, she was also in Europe for a number of shows, performing at various festivals shortly after the re-release of her 1992 album <em>Our Likeness<\/em> on vinyl, CD and digitally via Mute Records. The upcoming tour kicks off on 7 October in Latvia at Skanu Mezs Festival, and she will also perform in Hungary, Germany and the United Kingdom.<!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Phew  - Vertigo KO\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ODB_bwsZzCk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Phew, born Hiromi Moritani, is nowadays seen as a legendary singer, composer and analogue electronics improviser with a body of work that spans different generations and placed her as the queen of avant-garde. She was the founder of punk group Aunt Sally, but since the band has broken up she has been active mostly solo. She has done collaborations with Can\u2019s Jaki Liebezeit and Holger Czukay, legendary krautrock producer Conny Plank, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Jah Wobble, Bill Laswell, Jim O\u2019Rourke and The Boredoms, the creation of various punk bands. In 2017, she released her first solo album in 20 years, titled <em>Light Sleep<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>After that, she kept active with releasing new material with other musicians such as Ana Da Silva and Jim O\u2019Rourke. Live, her voice is at the commands while abstract electronics are treated directly, creating tracks that are both highly emotional and sonically challenging.
