The tour consists of six shows, starting at Le Guess Who? Festival in Utrecht.<\/p>\n<p>Oki Kano\u2019s identity, as a part of Japan\u2019s northernmost indigenous people, is central to his person and his art &#8211; As Oki Kano states: &#8220;I might travel on a Japanese passport, but I am Ainu.&#8221; His music, as heard on this year\u2019s <em>Tonkori in the moonlight<\/em>, celebrates Ainu folk &#8211; while blending it with reggae, dub, throat singing, and Irish, African, and Central Asian tradition.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Kai Kai As To (Rippling Lake) (2022 version)  \/OKI\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ie7CWQ9Kh10?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Sometimes OKI will bring his Oki Dub Ainu Band on his tours over the world, where the tonkori will be combined in a band setting with drums, bass, keyboard and dub-wise. In January 2022, OKI released the best-of album <em>Tonkori in the moonlight<\/em> out through the British label Mais um.
