The best Asian pop culture event in the Netherlands will take place for the second time! On Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May, the Evenementenhal Gorinchem will change into an Asian Walhalla. With new announcements from manga artists and judges for the Cosplay Contest, it promises to be another full program. The late bird tickets are on sale now!<\/p>\n

There is a lot to do and experience during Heroes Made in Asia! There is a varied range of workshops and demonstrations. Think of creative workshops such as a live drawing session with the artists, wig styling for beginners or an introduction to the Japanese language. There are also authentic demonstrations of furoshiki (the art of wrapping with traditional Japanese knot cloths), a tea ceremony and Japanese calligraphy. Those who prefer to be active can participate in the Kendo or ninja hand gesture workshops.\u00a0Also present will be the Japan-related website The Sushi Times for a number of workshops from Japanese cuisine to travel to Japan.<\/p>\n

Discover the most beautiful cosplays<\/h3>\n

Cosplay is more popular than ever! And what is a better place to show off your best cosplay than on the Main Stage? Cosplayers can show their best outfits in front of thousands visitors during the Cosplay Catwalk. Anyone who dares to impress the jury with their best work can also participate in the Cosplay Contest. The judges are AkrCos, Inspector Lemon and Pugoffka.<\/p>\n

Meet the best artists<\/h3>\n

During Heroes Made in Asia, various artists will also come along to meet their fans. For example, illustrator Judit Mallol will be present throughout the weekend. Mallol released Hallyu<\/em> and Discovering Seoul<\/em>, in which she takes her readers on an illustrated journey through South Korea. In addition to Mallol, illustrator and manga artist Carles Dalmau will also be present at the event. His own short story manga Lucid Lucy<\/em> won second prize at the Webtoon Awards. Both artists have a large following on Instagram, where they share much of their work. Also, the anime cover band Dress Up Town will return to the main stage for a spectacular show and there will be a taiko drum performance provided by Ikezuki.<\/p>\n
