The event, Alternative V-Rock invasion, with a line-up consisting of VII ARC, Kerbera and Nana:[shi], turned out to be such a big success that attendants kept asking for a follow-up. A request like this, of course, couldn’t be ignored, and thus, this time in collaboration with Hiro and Seiji from Nana:[shi], they announced that on 13 April 2019 the second Chapter of Alternative V-Rock Invasion will be held at the club Don’t Panic! in Essen, Germany. The event will have 4 performances in total, offering one more band than the first edition back in 2018, with two returning names, and two new additions to the line-up.

Nana:[shi]

Nana:[shi] was already present in the first chapter of Alternative V-Rock Invasion, and with the success, they were the ones that held out their hand towards KULT on TOUR to make the second chapter a reality. This German based band from 2017 is mostly known for their Visual Kei inspired music where they combine the style with the European metal sound to create a mix that can speak to both the European metal scene, as well as the Visual Kei lovers amongst us. This event, however, might be the last time you can enjoy them in their current line-up, as the vocalist Seiji has announced that this will be his final performance with the band.

VII ARC

Another returning name to the list is VII ARC. This band, also from Germany, was formed in 2014 as a Visual Metal band with inspirations from the Japanese Visual Rock scene, which can be found in their dark and eccentric clothing choices, as well as their music. Ever since they started, they haven’t been sitting still with performances at numeral events and conventions, as well as playing a supporting role with the European tour from MORRIGAN. Even now they’re still busy. Next to this event and the upcoming second part of their ATONIA album, they will support a few shows of Jupiter this year, as well as play alongside Madmans Esprit in Dordrecht on 21 April.

Esprit D’Air

A newcomer to the line-up this year is Esprit D’Air, a London based Melodic Rock and Progressive Metal band with influences from Japanese rock incorporated into their music. The band itself is definitely not a newcomer though and has already won the hearts of many fans, as well as an award for their first album Constellations for best metal/hardcore at The Independent Music Awards at the Lincoln Center in New York. Their latest release, Amethyst, which was made possible by the amazing results of their crowdfunding back in January this year, has already sold over 200 copies (digital copies included), showing just how far their success has reached amongst fans so far.

GAZTREA

Another new name to the list, and also the newest band of the event, only having been around since 25 May 2018, GAZTREA is the final name to complete the line-up of the year. This four-man band from Germany combines Visual Kei with Metal and touches of Pop into their own heavy sound. And though new as they are, they haven’t been stagnant for even a bit. They’ve already released an EP and two singles so far, the latest of them being the single Cloud Symmetry which came out December 2018. Furthermore, they’ve already been part of multiple events so far, definitely a newcomer to watch out for!

Tickets

The event will be held at Don’t Panic! on the Viehofer Platz 2 on the 13th of April and will start at 19:00.
