After the release of GE+IM’s first full album \u30b9\u30c6\u30ed\u30a4\u30c9<\/a> (Suteroido) in June of 2017 it has been fairly quiet in terms of new music. Till the end of February: when the GE+IM Official YouTube Channel (GE+IMwebTherapy) released the music video for \u5984\u60f3\u5b89\u5b9a\u5264 (M\u014ds\u014d antei-zai).<\/p>\n

Compared to his previous releases this is a slower paced melodic song, but still instantly recognizable as one of his works.<\/p>\n

The video shows Naoki and his support doctors in a dark basement-like area, an occasional shot of Naoki on a rooftop, and a Japanese family in their home. A mother and a daughter. The mother is yelling at the daughter, who proceeds to leave the house and sit outside before visiting her male friend\/boyfriend who’s more interested in his cell phone and pushes her away. What follows is the girl hanging around town in a clearly down state, sometimes walking around, before she is shown in the basement along with the band, holding a bottle of pills, which she chugs back in one go while the rhythm of the song changes and Naoki’s seen on the rooftop again.
\nThe video ends rather abruptly with a sky-shot of a building, the girl looking confused and a blurred image of Naoki before the girl looks up (at him?). The title of the song is shown, and the video ends.<\/p>\n

Personally, I’m really looking forward to the future activities of GE+IM. Their doctor\/hospital concept seems to fit them really well, and Naoki’s voice combined with his melodies bring some fresh sounds to the VK scene. Naoki remains loyal to his previous releases sound wise, and at the same time manages to introduce new sounds in a subtle manner. I hope to see a lot more by GE+IM in the future!<\/p>\n

This song will be on the new single \u4e3b\u6cbb\u533b\u306e\u5984\u60f3\u578b\u51e6\u65b9\u85ac (Shujii no m\u014ds\u014d-gata shoh\u014d-yaku) and will be available through their own webshop (Drug Store) and littleHEARTS, starting March 7th, 2018.<\/p>\n
