Online Magazine?<\/h3>\n

AVO Magazine is more than just a normal online magazine about Japanese music and culture. In addition to informing the reader about the various Japan-related events, AVO supports various Japan-related events in Europe and does the organisation thereof. In the past, we have been able to organise various concerts and festivals (AVO J-Rock Festival in 2013 and AVO J-Music Festival in 2018) in which various Japanese (indie) musicians were allowed to enter the stage to introduce themselves under the denominator AVO Magazine presents<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the last few years, AVO has worked together with Japanese artists such as BRIDEAR<\/a>, PLASTICZOOMS<\/a>, HITT<\/a> (now HIR\u03a6NO KAMINOSE<\/a>), ZEROSHIKI<\/a>, Lucie,Too<\/a>, Ryo Fujimura<\/a>, ADAMS<\/a>, REMNANT<\/a>, Haruka<\/a>, FATE GEAR<\/a>, X Made Alcoholic Santaclaus<\/a>, GanglioN<\/a>, MIKARU<\/a> (G.L.A.M.S), NECRONOMIDOL<\/a>,\u00a0Satsuki<\/a>, Chii Sakurabi<\/a>, LOKA<\/a>, Kaya<\/a>, Calmando Qual<\/a>, OROCHI<\/a> (Now Somei Yoshino<\/a>), Esprit D’Air<\/a>, but also (tour)organisations like HIGHFeeL, REALive, KanzeN Music, B7KLAN, RIOT ROCK Booking, Le Guess Who?, Miyako Studio, various conventions in The Netherlands like Abunai!, AnimeCon and TomoCon and much more. In addition, the webzine has sponsored a few events, like Fan Base Project and Formula Cosplay Europe. In addition, I have also had the opportunity to give panels on Japanese music at Japan-related conventions, such as TomoCon and HYPER JAPAN.<\/p>\n

Since 2017 AVO Magazine publishes in Dutch and English. A translation team is working on translating older articles – mainly interviews, reviews and reports – into English.<\/p>\n

Internationally active<\/h3>\n

We are based in The Netherlands, but operate internationally and try our best to have good contacts with conventions in the Netherlands and outside, tour organisations, labels, musicians, cosplayers, and other creative people in connection with Japan, our main focus. These connections allow AVO to share a lot of Japan-related news, interesting interviews with for example Japanese musicians and artists, reviews and reports of Japan-related events from conventions to concerts for the readers of AVO Magazine. We are very known for our promotion of lesser-known Japanese artists, which has always been important for AVO Magazine as well as artists who got their breakthrough, in order to continue to broaden the horizons of our readers.<\/p>\n

To maintain the presence of the name AVO Magazine in the music world, it is necessary to grow and look for serious candidates who want to work for us and proudly publish articles on this webzine. Writing for AVO Magazine gives you experience in writing creatively and looking for information and promotion. You will be welcomed in a team of enthusiastic writers and photographers who inspire each other!<\/p>\n

Did you know that it all started with AVO Forum on the 16th of May 2003? In 2013, AVO Forum celebrated its 10th anniversary with a music festival in Utrecht, called AVO J-Rock Festival<\/a>! Five years later on 15 September 2019, another festival was organised under the name AVO J-Music Festival<\/a> at an open-air theatre in The Hague.<\/p>\n

Under the denominator,\u00a0AVO Magazine presents<\/em>, various concerts and festivals are organised specifically for Japanese musicians who want to introduce themselves in the Netherlands through performances, autograph sessions, photoshoots and more.<\/p>\n

AVO Magazine offers different services in the Netherlands and is in connection with different venues and Japan related events to make concerts possible. It is also possible to give advice to set up successful events. We work together with several partners, but also directly with artists. AVO Magazine’s motor is Francisca Hagen who founded AVO in 2003 and has been the face of AVO ever since. But AVO Magazine also has a few Dutch, Belgian, English, American and even Japanese guest writers who like to write when they have a story for the online magazine, photographers and translators, and a yearlong partnership with Miyako Studio.<\/p>\n
